SELF-CARE
After clearing out a lot of old patterns and old methods for getting my needs met,
I started working on repairing the damage done to me by living with unresolved trauma
for so long.
I began restoring myself to my original/natural state by focusing on self-care.
Below are my daily self-care practices. I started out doing just a few of the things on this list and kept adding more little by little.
I hope you find some of them inspiring!
Safety Cues
I do several of the following in the morning and occasionally a few other times throughout the day:
- Sight - Visually Confirm No Threats in my immediate environment
- Touch - Havening, Container Touch, Container Hold
- Vagus Nerve Stimulation - 10 Deep Belly Breaths, Vagus Nerve Oil
- Smell - Rose, Mint, Eucalyptus, Lavender, Frankincense, Palo Santo
- Hearing - Listen to songs or a guided meditation sung/spoken by someone with a Soothing Voice (Vocal Prosody)
- Rhythm - Drumbeats

Nutrition
Food Plan of Choice. I am currently eating a paleo diet and focusing on amino acid therapy.
- Pre-breakfast Complete Amino Acid Blend (30 minutes before eating)
- Breakfast

- DPA amino acid with exercise (for endorphin enhancement)
- Evening L-Theanine (to wind down)
- Bedtime 5-HTP & GABA (to fall asleep)
